Our Mission Statement

Brother, sister, let me be your servant.
Let me be as Christ to you.
Pray that I might have the grace
to let you be my servant too.

Our mission at St Vincent De Paul Catholic Primary School is to educate the whole child through the Gospel values of Christ and provide academic excellence within a Catholic community, where all are loving to learn and learning to love.

Our vision is for our school is to be a happy place where the children can learn, develop and grow in a caring, nurturing environment, which offers creative and enriching experiences for all, developing enquiring minds that are excited by learning.

We are a welcoming and inclusive community that is respectful and tolerant of all religious traditions and beliefs. Through our caring and encouraging approach we aim to foster respect for each other and ourselves.

Here at St Vincent De Paul we have created a learning environment where every child is encouraged and enabled to develop to their full and unique potential as human beings, made in the image and likeness of God. Our environment is rooted in our faith and we hope each person who enters our school community will witness its warmth and feel the spirit of Christ’s welcome.

We want our children to develop a love of learning, fostered through teaching which is responsive to individual needs and within a framework of an engaging, relevant and challenging curriculum.

We aim to create aspirational targets for our children, increasing their potential for achievement in life whilst retaining their Christian values and duty to care for all people in God’s world.

At the end of Year 6 when the children leave us, we believe they will have developed the core skills, knowledge and understanding to prepare them for the next stage on their learning journey, as well as for life beyond school.

Our Catholic Vision

  • To provide a broad and balanced curriculum catering for each child’s spiritual, intellectual, physical and moral development.
  • To value all children and help them to develop attitudes of love and tolerance, forgiveness and respect.
  • To offer equality of opportunity to all. To make prayer, worship and liturgy real educational experiences, and to contribute successfully to the development of the faith of each individual in the school community.
  • To create an interaction between home, parish and school which provides preparation for the pupil’s entry into the wider community.
  • To create a community of love, care and concern, demonstrated in the daily lives of the children, staff, parents and governors.
  • To help the children to be knowledgeable and understanding of the different faiths within both our local and wider community.

Our Trust Values

Our Trust Mission is simple, it is to make Christ known, making lives better for our communities, our children and young people.

Our Trust Mission and Values

One of Hope

Inspired by St Teresa of Calcutta, we are people of hope. We have a complete belief in the future we will build together. By offering our children, staff and schools’ opportunities to grow and flourish, we make aspiration and ambition a reality. Our people, just like St Teresa are relentless and fiercely ambitious. We will always reach for that which seems to be just out of our grasp.

One of Courage

As modelled for us by St Teresa of Calcutta, we will have the courage to do what is right. As a community, we will not shy away from making decisions that ensure our communities thrive. We will be brave in our actions. As a truly Catholic organisation this courage will be most apparent in how we collectively support the most vulnerable.

One of Innovation

St Teresa of Calcutta changed the world. Together, we will always be pursuing new ideas and best practice in all areas of our work. We will prepare our children and young people for the world that awaits them. A world which they will shape and change.
