This award is designed to recognise exemplary efforts in embodying compassion and love in action, highlighting outstanding contributions.

As Bishop John once said, “The measure of our love is not the service we render but the love we put into it.” ‘Caritas in Action’ is a testament to the values which are important in the Salford Diocese, serving as a response to the principles of Catholic Social Teaching.

Our current winner:

Our winning pupil completed a 15k walk in honour of his Dad’s friend, who is battling Ewing Sarcoma, a rare and aggressive bone cancer.

For the past four years, he’s fought with incredible strength but has recently been told he only has a short time left. All funds raised by our pupil went directly to supporting the family as they focus on caring and spending precious time together. He has so far raised nearly £700 and we are all unbelievably proud.’
