At St Vincent’s, our Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) is a place where faith, love and learning come together. As a catholic school, we believe that every child is a unique and precious gift from God with their own talents, potential and purpose. Our environment provides a nurturing, inclusive and stimulating place where children feel safe, valued and inspired by the world around them. We ensure we provide a careful balance of child-initiated play, whole class teaching, group work and outdoor play in order to inspire curiosity, exploration and creativity. Opportunities are maximised for our children to explore and access all areas of the Early Years Curriculum through play in order to develop independence, resilience and future learning. We work in close partnerships with families to create a warm and welcoming place which ensures strong, supportive relationships are at the heart of our EYFS. We are responsible for nurturing happy, resilient and compassionate learners who grow in love, wisdom and holiness.
