On April 17th, Rochdale football player, Joe Thompson, passed away peacefully after a lengthy battle with cancer. His determination, resilience and humility will always inspire our pupils. As an ex-pupil of Saint Vincent de Paul’s, we will continue to aspire to be more like Joe and honour his name. Over the next few weeks, children will complete activities to celebrate his life, starting with a special assembly this Wednesday. Joe’s funeral will take place on 12^th May and a member of staff will represent our school at this very special celebration of his life.
